Now days you don't have to pick between paper or plastic because they sell the canvas right by both. Which is much better and doesn't fill our land fills full of crap that doesn't need to be in there in the first place. But most of us don't remember to take the bags in with us. So here are some tips to help you with that.
1. Keep the canvas bags in your car, preferably somewhere in site.
2. Ok no they are in the car but you forgot to take them with you. Tell them you don't want your stuff in a bag, just put them back in the cart. Then bag the items yourself. (Don't be so lazy it only takes a few mins to do this)
3. Throw a fold-up bag in your purse. This is great for clothing stores and you don't want to look like your stealing. (Come on ladies it's not like you don't throw everything in their anyways im sure there is room.)
4. Get a clip on bag. I love theses ones you can clip them on your keys. (Where are you going with out your keys? Take one of those stupid key chain charms off and replace it with a cute clip on bag! They come in tons of cute styles now!)
5. Hell go bagless! (Please for the love of Earth if you only have a few things you don't need a bag!!! Stop asking me for one!)

P.S. If you think getting a paper bag is better for the enviroment your wrong it takes more energy to produce and recycle paper than plastic. So if you going to do it *cringes* take plastic then recycle!!!

Working at the grocery store, I see so many wasted bags...So many people who double bag silly items like their newspapers!!

The sad part is, I'm not sure if they'd even care...
I totally understand what you mean i work at a pharmacy and even if they get one script ONE its already in a privacy bag but they want a big plastic bag so they dont lose it!! What the hell is going on with them losing a decent size bag?!?!? I hate giving them plastic bags. So instead of getting the stupid people to not take a plastic bag im just gonna try to put together info and what not and present it to the michigan government to ban the use of plastic bags. A few cities in Cali already have that why not a whole state?
